Dawn Rodger Art

Hello! I’m Dawn Rodger, a British figurative and landscape artist living by the peaceful Taw Estuary in Devon. I create colourful paintings that aim to bring a sense of calm and healing into your home.

My artwork explores the connections between colour and symbolism, reflecting on emotions, relationships, and the ebb and flow of time. Using layered oil glazes, I aim to create depth and luminosity that invite you to pause and truly engage with the moment.

Each subject I paint holds personal meaning —threads and leaves represent thoughts and feelings, animals symbolise loved ones, and beaches reflect the hinterland between our conscious and unconscious worlds. Stars and circles trace the lines between history, chronology, and time. My work is about mapping the inner terrain and showing the stories that live beneath the surface.

My work investigates the meeting point between nature and human experience. Each painting is created to hold space for reflection, clarity, and calm.
