Hello! I’m Dawn Rodger, a British figurative and landscape artist living by the peaceful Taw Estuary in Devon. I create colourful paintings that aim to bring a sense of calm and healing into your home.
My artwork dives into colour and symbolism, uncovering the ties between emotion, relationships, and the passing of time. Through layered oil glazes, I build depth and light that pull you in and hold you there for a moment.
Each subject I paint holds personal meaning —threads and leaves represent thoughts and feelings, animals symbolise loved ones, and beaches reflect the hinterland between our conscious and unconscious worlds. Stars and circles trace the lines between history, chronology, and time. My work is about mapping the inner terrain and showing the stories that live beneath the surface.
