Pastel on Pastelmat 8 x 6in (20x15cm)

A vibrant 8 x6" pastel drawing of ripples in a sandy beach using Pitt pastels pencils on Pastelmat card. The artwork portrays a broad expanse of sand extending towards the horizon, with the foreground of the painting dominated by rich golden and brown hues that suggest the texture of the sand. Soft shadows and highlights recreate the effect of sunlight playing across the sand's surface, giving an impression of depth and movement.

The sky, occupying the upper portion of the piece, is rendered with blending of blues and whites, with subtle hints of violet, suggesting a peaceful day. Wispy clouds are scattered throughout, contributing to the serene atmosphere. The horizon is visible in the distance, where the sky meets the calmer blue of the distant water, with a faint strip of land visible.
