The Devon countryside in summertime exudes a dreamy and languid quality. Gentle breezes ripple different tones of colour through the fields and change the shapes of the carefree clouds drifting in the distance. I have tried to capture those sensations on canvas. This is one of my favourite views towards the Taw Estuary in North Devon with the Tarka Trail running through the centre of the picture obscured by hedgerows.
